We are a community of learners consisting of educators, students and parents/guardians. Working together we can create optimum learning for our children. This blog is a way for us to communicate and support the school - home connection. I'm passionate about teaching and learning. I strive to ignite an enthusiasm for learning that will last a lifetime in all my students!

Guest Reader

Mrs. MacArthur came to our classroom this morning to read, The Bucket List. After reading the story, she explained about the Bucket Slip system at GMS 4-5. Students can earn bucket slips by being caught filling someone else's bucket with a kind deed. The slip goes into a class bucket which is collected periodically. Mrs. MacArthur will set a bucket slip goal. Once the goal is reached, our school will celebrate with a special day, such as Hat Day or Crazy Hair Day. Once a month 25 students names will also be drawn to earn a special prize. Mrs. MacArthur will be back on Monday to read to Cohort A!
