Plotting Volcanoes

We are learning about volcanoes. Today we plotted active volcanoes onto 4 different maps: North America, South America, Asia and Australia/surrounding islands. Students noticed that volcanoes tend to be along the coast. When we put the 4 maps together, we were able to observe the ring of fire. Students were so impressed when their maps fit together like a puzzle, opening their eyes to an interesting volcanic pattern.
