We are a community of learners consisting of educators, students and parents/guardians. Working together we can create optimum learning for our children. This blog is a way for us to communicate and support the school - home connection. I'm passionate about teaching and learning. I strive to ignite an enthusiasm for learning that will last a lifetime in all my students!

Memory Bags

Last Thursday we read the book, Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge, about a young boy who helps an elderly woman in a nursing home find her memory. Students are now creating memory bags of their own. Their memories will be used to help with topic selection in writing. Our goal is to learn that we can turn our experiences into ideas for writing. Students began sharing their memory bags with the class today.
