A Great Learning Experience!

Our new international friends from the Intensive English Program at the University came to visit us on this Friday the 13th. Prior to their visit, we created a video about the state of Maine for them to view, met using Skype, and then viewed the Voice Thread presentations they made for us about their native countries. During the visit, our students had the opportunity to ask lots of questions and then they were able to meet with each University student to have their name written in either Japanese, Chinese, and Ethiopian. (There is a different name for the language spoken by the woman from Ethiopia but I can't remember what she called it.)
We are learning a lot about our world, other cultures, our similarities and our differences. The visit was magical for all of us!

  3. Dear Mrs MacInnes,
I like learning about peoples countries and cultures. Some of the peoples countries I haven't even heard of! The people from the countries I haven't heard of that came into our class are Ethiopia, and Saudi Arabia.
