MLK Lesson

Today we met a 3rd grade class from Fort Worth, Texas. They read a readers theater play of Martin Luther King's speech to us and we sang a song about MLK to them. We also had time for a few questions about our interests. It was a fun lesson!

    I liked doing the chat with Texas. It was really fun because I liked the part when we got to watch the people in Texas do their play. They did really good job on it.

    Our class really enjoyed talking with all of you today. Your song was really wonderful and went well with our speech. Your class was so well-behaved and you asked such good questions. I hope we get to Skype again soon.

      Hi Emma,When you skype you chat with people around the country you live in.Skyping is just like talking on a phone expect you talk into a computer and you can see them.When we skype we share facts about the state of Maine and the other people we skype with they share facts about their state. Sometimes we are able to skype with famous people like Mickey Nigeo, The First Lady of Maine and her dog Baxter.We also got to skype with Former First Lady of the U S A Barbra Bush. We are trying to skype with all favorite 50 states. So far we have skyped 17 states. I hope i told you what you wanted to know about skyping. From, RILEY
